If you are reading this, my guess is you battle with the sugar dragon or at least have a curiosity to what all the hype is against sugar. I get wanting sugar in your diet and feel the same way at times. Because quite frankly, it is SOOO tasty and why can't I just have it when I want or a little bit each day?
The thing is sugar causes all kinds of unhealthy responses in our bodies (see 10 Convincing Reasons You Need to Quit Sugar Right Now: http://www.naturallivingideas.com/reasons-to-quit-sugar/), makes a breeding ground for disease, and just a tiny bit ensures that you remain in its festering long grip! Who wants that?!?! I surely do NOT!
So, when a dear friend, Jacqueline, asked me yesterday if I wanted to join a FB group that are supporting one another to Kick the Sugar Addiction, I was ALL in.
The truth is, I have done pretty good on eating healthy and sticking to my Gluten Free, Dairy Free regime and Meat is an easy one for me to stay away from. Yet, SUGAR... this is my Achilles' tendon in the eating department.

How have I done in the past 24 hours on my NY Goals? Sadhana this morning, check. Time with hubby and baby, check. Reading for this week's college assignment, check. I had too much sugar yesterday (thus today's post and commitment), a few bites of gluten and I tried meat that was offered to me after a ceremonial cooking, yet could not stomach it. See, life IS a journey and we keep trying to become a better version of ourselves than we were yesterday.
